Purpose/Objective

Welcome to Get Traffic Ready! Before we launch your Authority Amplifier program, we need to set up your Facebook assets properly. The first month ($1,500 AUD) is dedicated entirely to this setup—no content will go out until it’s complete. This guide will walk you through everything, step by step, so our team can access what we need to make your social media shine. Let’s get started!

Understanding the Basics

  • Before we dive in, here’s what we’re working with:

    • Facebook Page: Your business’s public profile—like your online shop window where customers like and follow you.

    • Ad Account: Your tool for running paid ads—think of it as a credit line for advertising, linked to a payment method.

    • Business Portfolio: The big organizer. It’s part of Facebook’s Business Manager, holding your page and ad account together. This is what you’ll share with us so we can manage your assets.

  • These are separate pieces, but they need to live happily in a business portfolio for us to work with them.

How To

Follow these steps to get everything ready and shared with Get Traffic Ready.

Step 1: Log Into Your Personal Facebook Account

  • Use the account you normally log into—yes, the one you scroll for memes or family updates.

  • Open your browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.) and go to

  • facebook.com

  • Enter your email/phone and password.

Step 2: Access Business Manager

  • Once logged in, click the little downward arrow in the top-right corner of Facebook.

  • Look for “Business Manager” under “More Tools.” Click it.

  • If you don’t see it, type

  • into your browser, hit enter, and click “Log In” with your personal account.

Step 3: Create a Business Portfolio

  • In Business Manager, you’ll see a button like “Create Business” or “Create Account”—it might say either. Click it.

  • Name it something clear, like “[Your Business Name] Portfolio” (e.g., “Jane’s Bakery Portfolio”).

  • Enter your business email (one you check regularly) and click “Save” or “Submit”.

Step 4: Add Your Facebook Page

  • On the left side of Business Manager, click “Business Settings”.

  • Under “Accounts,” click “Pages”.

  • Hit “Add”, then select “Add a Page”.

  • Type your page’s name exactly as it appears (e.g., “Jane’s Bakery”). When it shows up, click it, then “Add”.

  • Note: If it says you’re not an admin, don’t panic—we’ll address that in the exceptions below.

Step 5: Set Up Your Ad Account

  • Back in “Business Settings”, go to “Ad Accounts” on the left.

  • Click “Add”, then choose “Create a New Ad Account”.

  • Name it something like “[Your Business Name] Ads” (e.g., “Jane’s Bakery Ads”).

  • Select your currency (e.g., AUD) and your time zone (e.g., AEST). Click “Next”.

  • Add a payment method:

◦ Click “Add Payment Method”.

◦ Enter your credit card details: full name, card number, expiry date, and security code.

◦ Click “Save”. This ensures the ad account is functional.

  • Optional: Later, you can test it with a $1 ad to confirm it works, but it’s ready for us now.

Step 6: Share with Get Traffic Ready

  • In “Business Settings”, find “Partners” on the left menu.

  • Click “Add”, then select “Give a partner access to your assets”.

  • Enter our agency ID: [Insert Get Traffic Ready Agency ID here—we’ll need this from you!].

  • Select your portfolio, check the boxes for “Manage Page” and “Manage Ad Account”, and click “Save”.

  • Done! We’ll see your portfolio in our agency view and claim it.

Exceptions: Troubleshooting Common Issues

If something’s not right, here’s how to fix it.

Exception 1: Someone Else Owns Your Portfolio (Hackers or Previous Owners)

  • Try This First: If you know the person (e.g., a previous owner), message them via email or Facebook. Ask them to:

◦ Go to Business Manager > “Business Settings” > “Partners.”

◦ Add you as a partner with full control using your personal Facebook email.

  • If That Fails: If they don’t respond or it’s a hacker:

◦ Visit facebook.com/help

◦ Search “recover business account” and click “Contact Support”.

◦ Fill out the form. Upload proof you own the business (e.g., tax document, utility bill, or business registration with your business name).

◦ Submit and wait—Facebook’s slow, but this is the official way.

Exception 2: Your Page or Ad Account Isn’t in a Portfolio Yet

  • For Your Page:

◦ Go to your Facebook page directly ([facebook.com/yourpagename]).

◦ Click “Settings” (bottom left on the page).

◦ Click “Page Roles”. Check if you’re listed as an admin (full control).

◦ If not, contact the current admin and ask them to add you:

In “Page Roles,” they type your name or email, select you, set you as “Admin,” and save.

◦ Once you’re admin, go back to Step 4 to add it to your portfolio.

  • For Your Ad Account:

◦ Go to “Ad Manager” (type facebook.com/adsmanagerin your browser).

◦ Click the account dropdown (top left) to see your ad account(s).

◦ If it’s yours but not in a portfolio:

Return to Business Manager > “Business Settings” > “Ad Accounts.”

Click “Add” > “Add an Existing Ad Account”. Enter the ad account ID (find it in Ad Manager under “Account Overview”).

◦ If someone else owns it, ask them to share it with your portfolio:

They go to their Business Manager > “Partners” > “Add” and enter your portfolio ID (you’ll see this in your Business Settings).

What Success Looks Like

  • You will have a Business Portfolio which you have complete access to and you may share it us for us to be able to run ads.
